National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week: Radio-IP Supports It!

When we think of public safety, our mind tends to usually go to the field officers as well as other first responders. Yet, as vital as they are, the maintenance of public safety would not be as effective as it is now without the support offered by telecommunications officers working from various command centers, which are a critical component of emergency communications and provide critical, life-saving emergency services to the public.

This selfless dedication often translates to missed meals, ball games or even quality time with their families, all in the name of serving our communities, citizens, and public safety personnel 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

That is why since 1981, every second week of April is dedicated to honor and thank telecommunications personnel across the Nation for their daily commitments, services, and sacrifices to their communities, hence dubbing it the National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
